Age no bar
If you are on the wrong side of thirty and you think that fashion for you has come to a dead-end think again.
Quite a few designers are shifting their gaze from the oh-so-perfect 10, lissome-young-things to concentrate on women who are often neglected from the purview of fashion because of their ripe years and arguably not-so-perfect dimensions.
1x1 polls

Designer Seema Singh tells us, I mostly target women in the age group of 32 and above. I feel the market is yet to be explored in that category. Women in that age group continue to wear unflattering clothes, but I want to clear the misconception. Even if youre 30-plus, you can find clothes that will accentuate your positives and hide your flaws. Also women in that age group have more spending power, so they can afford designerwear more easily.
That is true. A wide market exists for women who have the disposable income to afford designerwear, but dont seem to be very sure about what would look good on them. Designer Nivedita Saboo feels, Women in the age-group of 30-35 are opening up to the idea of going beyond the conventional sari or salwaar-kameez nowadays. It is not just about aiming to look glamourous or sexy, but bringing out the best in your personality. Everybody cannot be a size 8. It is more challenging to design clothes for women who do not look like models. The basic idea is to design clothes for real people.
Its just a matter of presenting yourself well and coming to terms that there is no age-limit to looking gorgeous. Designer Sonu Krishnan tips us off, There are many commercially available brands which cater to big women, but more often than not, they are shapeless products of mass-production. Whatever be the size, getting something that specifically caters to your size is much better. The most common feature that women battle post 30 is the waist and the hips. There are so many things that you can experiment with to hide it like kaftans, skirts, dresses that are fitted at the chest and free-flow downwards.

Looking stunning is not just for the young and the restless anymore. There is still a long time left for you to experiment with your attire to your hearts desire. A stitch in time will definitely save nine years of your life from showing on you!
